Kinsey Love

Kinsey began her dance training at the age of 6 in Bakersfield, CA where she took ballet, jazz, modern and hip-hop classes at a local studio. From ages 12-15, she continued her training in Allen, TX before moving to Olympia, WA to focus on ballet at Studio West Dance Academy under the direction of Stephanie Wood Ennett and Marianna Ramsour.

Kinsey spent her summers training with San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Colorado Ballet, Ballet Arizona, and Oklahoma City Ballet on scholarship. She attended the University of Utah on a ballet scholarship for one year before leaving to train in the pre-professional program at Ballet Arizona and then at Colorado Ballet.

In 2017, Kinsey joined Louisville Ballet initially as a Trainee and then got promoted to a Studio Company member from 2019-2021. Under the direction of Robert Curran, she performed in the corps de ballet with the main company in most of their productions.

Some of her favorite roles at Confluence Ballet thus far have been Dew Drop and Marzipan from Nutcracker for a Difference, Soloist in Kassi Tiedjens’ Gaia, Soloist in JoAnna Schmidt’s By Your Side, Soloist in Lea Havas’ Languid Sparks, and Demi-soloist in Julia Erickson’s Piantina. She also has loved dancing in Rebecca Levin’s Camaraderie, Kaila Carter’s …Goes On, Indira Cunningham’s Keeper, Kassi Tiedjen’s Evolving Roots, Meghan Phillip’s New Ground, and Michia Carmack’s Dear Youth, I Remember. PS…I Miss You.

Kinsey is beyond thankful for the love and support of her family and friends and is honored to be celebrating three seasons dancing at Confluence Ballet Company.
