Jessica de Jong
As a Colorado native, Jessica trained and performed with Denver Ballet Theatre Academy. Seeking to further her artistic education Jessica attended Butler University in Indianapolis where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Pedagogy in May 2021. While dancing for Butler Ballet Jessica had the opportunity to work closely with Marek Cholewa, Rosanna Ruffo, Susan McGuire, Derek Reid and Cynthia Pratt, as well as other notable coaches and choreographers. She performed corps de ballet and demi-soloist roles in Butler Ballet’s large-scale productions of The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, excerpts from The Little Humpbacked Horse, La Bayadère and Le Corsaire, as well as premiering original contemporary choreography. With select dancers from Butler Ballet, Jessica performed across Europe and studied under prestigious European ballet masters in the summer of 2018. A year later, Jessica spent her summer touring and performing as an apprentice with Zikr Dance Ensemble under the direction of David Taylor. As a founding member Jessica is delighted to be part of Confluence Ballet Co. where she can serve in multiple roles and work to support change in the dance world.
