Grace Wellmon
Grace was born and raised in Carlisle, PA. She trained at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet under Marcia Dale Weary, Chambersburg Ballet under Lavinia Reid, and with Leslie Hench. She graduated from Messiah University with a Communications degree and Dance minor, where she studied under and performed pieces by faculty Gregg Hurley, Gretchen Patchell, and Eileen Beth Mitchell. This past summer she attended The Verdon Fosse® Legacy’s Intensive Training Program in New York City, studying under master instructors including Alyssa Epstein, Dylis Croman, Mary Ann Lamb, Elizabeth Parkinson, and Spence Ford.
Select performance credits include: Enchantress/Dance Captain (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast), Fritzie/Dance Captain (Cabaret), Snow Queen and Coffee Soloist (The Nutcracker), and The Evil Queen (Snow White). She has also choreographed musical productions such as Heathers: Teen Edition, Newsies, The Music Man, and Urinetown.
Grace is so excited to be back dancing with Confluence Ballet Company and is looking forward to bringing a new and refreshed outlook of ballet and dance to Pittsburgh and beyond!
